Technical Terms
Base Rate Per Second
The fundamental rate at which points are earned, measured per second. It is expressed in 1e18 precision (similar to wei in Ethereum), ensuring accurate and consistent reward calculations.
Multiplier
A factor applied to the base rate that increases the speed of point accumulation. For example, a multiplier of 2e18
means the user earns points at twice the base rate.
Weight BPS
“Basis Points” (1/10000) used to define how funds are distributed across different strategies in the Strategy Router. For example, a weight of 5000 BPS means 50% allocation.
TVL (Total Value Locked)
The total amount of SOM tokens deposited into the vault, including both idle funds and those deployed into yield strategies. TVL reflects the protocol’s overall scale and adoption.
Harvest
The process of collecting yields generated by strategies. Harvested rewards can then be compounded back into the system or distributed according to governance rules.
